Australian Centre for the Moving Image
December 2001 – May 2003
Rutledge Engineering provided audiovisual services and facilities for many areas of the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI) at Federation Square. Rutledge installed systems within the Boardroom, Function Room, two state-of-the-art cinemas and the theatrette.
Using advanced Christie cinema projection systems, Cinema 2 (pictured left) became the first HD Digital Cinema in Australia. The cinemas are capable of displaying between 8mm and 70mm film formats, VHS to HDCam Video, various source equipment, live mixes and all current cinema audio formats.
The integration of a control system enabled all functionalities from a single touch screen, with 9 locations of control across Cinemas 1 and 2.
