Rutledge AV has a long standing business relationship with Rio Tinto providing AV supply, installation, service and support since ~1995.

Spanning Australia and international Rio Tinto office’s, Rutledge AV’s touch panel development has been implemented to form a standard of audio visual and conferencing control.

Rutledge AV was contracted by Laing O’Rourke to provide audio visual systems supply, installation, commissioning and after sales support for Rio Tinto at the 123 Albert St development.

Rio Tinto required a state-of-the-art digital signage and broadcast solution. This innovative technology was led by Rio Tinto’s internal communications team with the ability to access all levels of the building, could be site selective or could display different content to different levels of the building.

Level 27 incorporates a broadcast system where company addresses can be viewed from anywhere in the world via video conference. To date this is Australia’s single largest roll out of AMX digital signage of this scope with a fit out of audio visual equipment covering over fifty rooms.

The scope of works as designed by Innova-Tech included:

  • Digital signage and display systems
  • Level 27 features global streaming/broadcast function for video and audio presentations
  • Audio visual systems within 50 presentation and video conferencing rooms
  • Room management system – asset management (monitoring system) using AMX Resource Management Suite
  • IPTV distribution
  • Interactive and electronic white boards devices
  • Interfaces to building systems, lighting & blinds

The base building design rating is on track to achieve a 6 Star Green Star rating, the highest possible rating and signifies world leadership in environmentally sustainable design and construction.

Rutledge AV was awarded with the ‘Commercial – Large Project’ Award for the Rio Tinto – Brisbane Regional Centre at the 2012 NECA Queensland Excellence Awards.
