We are currently looking for a passionate, confident and high caliber Account Manager who has a hunger to drive new business revenue and build long lasting relationships. We are looking for someone with a strong sales background in Audio Visual systems/integration, however ICT Sales or similar industry background will be considered.

  • • Develop and maintain strong positive relationships with prospective clients, existing customers, consultants, builders and suppliers to cultivate new business opportunities for Rutledge AV, ultimately driving sales of audio visual, VC, IT and service related products.
  • • Achieving set sales targets and objectives across sales of AV systems and service level agreements.
  • • Liaise with Estimating, Engineering and other staff in preparation of quotation or tender response.
  • • Systematically follow-up submitted quotes and proposals liaising with both Customers/Prospects as well as internal Rutledge AV staff to maximize sale conversions.
  • • Perform diligent recording of opportunities within the Rutledge AV CRM.
  • • Participate in marketing and communications strategies and activities.
  • • Foster and promote the company, product and brand presence in the market.
  • • Contacting self-sourced and provided sales leads to secure, champion and drive new client relationships.
  • • Understand and define the client’s audio visual requirements and scope.
  • • Manage client expectations and Rutledge AV response to quotation requests, in an accurate and timely manner with a personalized feel.
  • • Perform client Account Management meetings to foster client relationships.
  • • Provide weekly and monthly reports to the Sales Manager about current activities, future prospects and market intelligence.
  • • Keep abreast of technological advances in AV, VC and IT fields.

Skills & Experience

  • • 3+ years sales and business development experience (preferable in audio visual)
  • • Excellent communication, relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • • The skills and strategic ability to develop new business
  • • Vision, drive and the ability to think outside the box
  • • Good knowledge of both Word and Excel and CRM system concepts
  • • Current valid driver’s licence
  • • Well-developed consultative sales skills
  • • Versatility, resourcefulness and resilience
  • • The skills and ability to build and maintain long term partnerships with clients to ensure ongoing and repeat business
  • • Strong attention to detail
  • • AV technical understanding and knowledge of integrated audio visual systems
