What part will you play?

We are currently recruiting for a BIM / CAD Drafter to assist in the increased workload in our NSW business. In this role you will be liaising internally and externally with various stakeholders and working closely with CAD programs such as AutoCAD, BIM360 and Revit.

  • Drawing setup, general drafting and formal issue of AV drawings, including but not limited to: Floor plan, elevation and section drawings of Audio Visual equipment and components, Equipment Rack diagrams, Fabrication drawings of custom wall plates, patch panels and equipment mounting brackets for in-house and external manufacturing, High-level system diagrams, Detailed wiring diagrams and schematics of Audio Visual systems
  • Document management for system drawings and project correspondence
  • Assist in creating and maintaining in-house library of AutoCAD blocks and symbols
  • Other duties as required
  • Make changes to construction drawings and update drawings from site mark-ups
  • •Assist in creating and maintaining equipment and cable schedules
  • Attend monthly engineering meetings

Skills & Experience

  • CAD software experience
  • 2D CAD experience with architectural and service would be beneficial
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Self driven with good time management and prioritising skills
  • Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Design or Drafting
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations and design standards would be an advantage
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit and BIM360 essential
  • Well developed skills to write technical documentation and reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and non technical staff
  • Strong Team player
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have Audio Visual industry experience of a trade background, or have/are completing an engineering course
