What part will you play?

You will be responsible for, but not limited to, the development and preparation of an engineered solution and supporting documentation for all quotations and tender responses. You will be working with the Estimating and Sales team to ensure our submissions provide an accurate bill of materials to meet the specifications requirements, are ‘value’ engineered and delivered on a timely basis to ensure the ongoing success and reputation of our company.

Duties

  • Provide technical support to the sales / estimating department with system design and product functionality knowledge.
  • Reviewing and assessing specifications and drawings for the preparation of quotations and tenders.
  • Illustrate Design Schematics for "Internal"purposes. (Hand Sketches)
  • Providing clarification on technical concerns and tender technical schedules, liaise with Consultants and Builders if required.
  • Attend mandatory and Ad Hoc site inspections for the preparation of responses.
  • Assist in the preparation of other / general supporting documentation for quotation and tender responses.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Provide technical engineering for designs ensuring specified / required functionality and quality is catered for, including and necessary re-engineering of existing client systems to achieve this requirement.
  • Assist in cable take offs and measurements for large projects.
  • Coordinate Illustrate High Level Design Schematics for "External"quotation / tender submissions, as required in an appropriate drawing program (Visio, CAD, PowerPoint etc.).
  • Respond to Estimators technical questions in relation to design, BOM, Support documentation and Submission.
  • Ensure timely delivery of design.
  • Liaise with Tender Coordinator, reviewing all National Pre Engineering, Estimating Support and Submission Guidance requirements.

  • Qualifications in Audio Visual, Media or Business preferred.
  • Good computer skills with knowledge of both Word and Excel.

  • Attend monthly engineering meetings (External to Sale Dept.)
  • Makes effective use of available time and resources in all tasks.
  • Adheres to internal process and systems.
  • Adheres to all WHSEQ requirements and promotes a culture of safety in all work tasks.
  • Able to quickly adapt and respond well to change
  • Demonstrates an ability to plan, organise, prioritise, schedule, monitor and control work, ensuring effective use of time, and resources to meet objectives.
  • Adapts and supports change demonstrated through behaviours and not just words.
  • Works to reduce cost whilst maintaining value wherever possible.
  • The ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks.
  • Existing AV system knowledge essential.
  • Professional standard of customer service.
  • Attend new product / technology training courses as they become available / necessary.
  • Flexibility with availability in order to meet deadlines.
