What part will you play?

You will utilize your technical expertise in programming to deliver projects on time and to budget. You will collaborate with our team to provide control system programming for our audio visual installations. You will engage clients ensuring our systems meet specification and function to their expectations.

Duties

  • • Be part of the project team scaling up to large multi-million dollar projects.
  • • Initiating projects with setup including the assignment of resources as well as facilitating the project close out maintain the Pronto system with PC dates and creation of Warranty contracts.
  • • Assist in the preparation of project deliverables at the closing stage of projects including equipment asset registers, room matrices technical data sheets, manuals, drawing registers as well following up other project staff deliverables.
  • • Preparing compliance and site induction documentation and pre-start checklists as required.
  • • Preparing, monitoring and uploading internal WHSEQ documentation and escalating any issues when required (eg: Site diaries, tool box talks, incidents & meeting minutes).
  • • Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of company project assets local and nationally.
  • • Use Pronto to advise Project Managers about equipment status, material deliveries and project progress.
  • • Assist in the production of project variations and quotes as required by Project Managers.
  • • Coordinate training courses and testing for project staff as required
  • • Provide support to the Projects Team, assisting PMs to complete and maintain JSAs, SWMS, Safety Management Plans, work permits, insurance certificates of currency, MSDS Registers and any other required safety documentation requested by the PM, client or builder.
  • • Assist in the coordination of project staff
  • • General co-ordination of project work including printing updated drawings and documentation.
  • • Use Aconex or other document management systems to download and upload relevant drawings, floorplans or other documentation as required.
  • • Maintain MSDS Register and data sheets.
  • • Assist in the preparation of reports for Operations, WHSEQ and Project managers.
  • • Creating and monitoring of project plans in Microsoft project for Project Managers when requested.
  • • Co-ordinate the purchase, maintenance and servicing & calibration of tools, plant and equipment and update and maintain the tools budget, plant & equipment and asset registers.

Skills & Experience

  • • Experience in Project Assistant/Coordinator role
  • • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • • Strong attention to detail
  • • Enjoy working in a team environment
  • • Knowledge of MS Project beneficial but not essential
  • • Experience in the Construction, Audio Visual, Electrical or Engineering industry is considered an advantage
  • • Experience and or qualifications in WHSEQ desirable.
  • • Task and results focused
  • • Sound understanding of the MS Office suite
