About the role

We are currently looking for a passionate, confident and high caliber Sales Executive who has a hunger to drive new business revenue and build long lasting relationships. We are looking for someone with Audio Visual background, however ICT Sales or similar industry background will be considered.

Duties

  • Develop and maintain strong positive relationships with prospective clients, existing customers, consultants, builders and suppliers to cultivate new business opportunities for Rutledge AV, ultimately driving sales of audio visual, VC, IT and service related products.
  • Champion and drive new sales initiatives and opportunities.
  • Prepare estimations and quotations.
  • Manage client expectations and Rutledge AV response to quotation and tender requests, in an accurate and timely manner with a personalized feel.
  • Perform client Account Management meetings throughout project build / construction.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports about current activities, future prospects and market intelligence.
  • Keep abreast of technological advances in AV, VC and IT fields.
  • Pursue pre-qualified leads and tender opportunities identified via various sources.
  • Understand and define the client’s audio visual requirements and scope.
  • Liaise with Estimating, Engineering and other staff in preparation of quotation or tender response.
  • Systematically follow-up of submitted quotes and proposals liaising with both Customers/Prospects as well as internal Rutledge AV staff to maximize sale conversions.
  • Perform diligent recording of opportunities within the Rutledge AV CRM.
  • Participate in marketing and communications strategies and activities.
  • Foster and promote the company, product and brand presence in the market.

Skills and Experience

  • Well-developed consulting & sales skills
  • A minimum of 3+ years Sales / Business Development experience
  • The skills and strategic ability to develop new business
  • A proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales performance targets and KPI’s
  • Current valid driver’s licence & personal vehicle is required
  • Versatility, resourcefulness and resilience
  • Account Management background & experience- highly desirable
  • The skills and ability to build and maintain long term partnerships with clients to ensure ongoing and repeat business
  • Knowledge of integrated audio visual systems preferred but not essential
