About the role

We are currently recruiting for a Service Technician to assist us in servicing our growing client base to facilitate and maintain high levels of customer care. This full-time permanent position requires a combination of technical knowledge, reporting, and client relationship skills as the position is responsible for the efficient running of day to day audio visual operations on large-scale, high-end projects.

You will be performing a high level of AV installations and technical services to our clients, as well as providing quality support and maintenance when required.

Work with all types of AV technology including by not limited to:

  • Ceiling mount projectors
  • Motorized screens
  • Video conferencing equipment
  • Video walls
  • Routers and switching
  • Running and termination of cables

Duties

  • Demonstrated experience in control systems, AV integration, AMX Hardware, Video Conferencing and cable termination
  • Provision of high quality client technical support on customer audio visual systems
  • Respond to Service Calls raised by clients in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide technical and operator system training
  • Provide high quality system and maintenance performance reports
  • Provide 24/7 support to customers via the RAV Pager service as required
  • Basic networking and programming skills are highly regarded
  • Providing onsite service maintenance and fault finding
  • Complete routine maintenance on equipment as scheduled
  • Provide technical liaison with clients, engineering and project departments regarding recommend system modifications, design and upgrades where necessary
  • Provide timely and accurate documentation on all service works performed, including client initiated call-outs and preventative service inspections

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Audio Visual industry
  • Knowledge in video conferencing and control systems
  • Undertaking temporary postings at our resident technician sites
  • Ability to think on your feet
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience using MS Office with particular emphasis on Word and Excel
  • Experience with audio and video equipment systems
  • Experience in fault finding, audio visual schematics and digital sound processors
  • Accurate and detailed reporting in our ticket based service system
  • A passion for providing high level technical support and customer service
  • Strong attention to detail with your ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Current valid driver’s license
