What part will you play?


The Stores Assistant is responsible for the physical dispatch, receipt and internal movement of stock in a safe and efficient manner with a focus on upholding work standards and providing excellent customer service.


  • Unload goods and check them against order forms
  • Incoming goods are receipted into tracking system & sales person notified
  • Place goods in bins and on racks, or stack bulky items on floors
  • Pick/pack and send out completed orders
  • Obtain details of the location and quantity of items in stock
  • Count and record the number of items in store during stocktake
  • Manage stock levels of cable (materials) and connectors (regular stocktake)
  • Cardboard crushing and removal
  • Cable Recycling
  • Foster and promote the company, product and brand in the market
  • Comply with Company policies and procedures, including the completion of documents and records
  • Provide support to the store person with daily tasks
  • Catalogue or label items with storage details
  • All goods in and out to be documented on delivery dockets, including loans, transfers, deliveries
  • Complete orders by selecting goods from shelves and checking them off appropriate lists
  • Book courier pick ups
  • Enter details of received delivery slips, requisitions and invoices into computers
  • Advise supervisor about stock and re-ordering levels
  • Manage driver runs and bookings
  • Help keep the work area neat and tidy
  • Physical movement of goods (if working in a dual Store Person / Driver position)
  • Promote and live the Company Mission, Vision and Values
  • Participate and contribute to compliance in accordance with obligations under the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System
  • Other duties as required

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to multitask & take initiative where required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
